Welfare, Warfare and Hellfare

Sometimes at an antiwar demonstration, I used to hear the binarising cry 'We want Welfare no more Warfare'.

Yet internals and externals are inseparable, despite the miles of insulation tape and sands. Jody MacCintyre understood this, and the need to weave sense through Imperial Austerity's twin headed injustice-making.

Looking at the mothballing of that state around me. Housing, education and pretty mush everything else. I wonder how much of the historical infrastructure of welfare is built with the bones of colonial others? What is just to expect and work toward?
